This isn't exactly news about the Indianapolis Colts, but since I am lucky enough to have an outlet to voice my opinion on something I'm going to take it.

In the interest of fairness, it could be future Indianapolis Colts-related news. The people involved are football players from Indiana. They just happen to be in high school still.

Linemen are the unsung heroes of football. Without them doing the dirty work the superstars would not be the superstars. Without the hogs on the offensive line opening up holes the running back goes nowhere. If the d-line guys did not occupy the offensive line, often sacrificing themselves in the process, the linebackers would not be freed up as often as they are to make the big play.

Last saturday, three lineman from Forest Park High School, Anthony Fischer, Austin Kempf and Ethan Knust, were headed to the store on foot when they saw a truck overturned. After getting by some barbed wire they managed to pull a man and little girl to safety. However, after doing so they noticed there was still someone trapped inside, a pregnant woman.

With the truck on fire, the three lineman returned to the truck to save the day. How? This is what one of the boys told the Dubois County Herald:

“We had to flip the truck over. It was just a midsize truck.”

A tear came to the eye of their strength coach as he read that line.

I tip my hat to you guys. Way to represent yourselves, your team, your school, and the great sport you play.
